The Photographer Behind the Lens
I'm Lindsay, the photographer behind Flowertown Photography, and I've been capturing babies and families for over 16 years. With a BA in Studio Art Photography from the College of Charleston, I bring both artistic vision and technical expertise to every session. My Summerville studio is a warm, safe space specifically designed for newborns and little ones — where every prop is hand-selected, every pose is carefully guided, and safety always comes first.
My Story
My love for photography started with a Fisher-Price camera when I was a kid. Fast forward through years of education, exhibitions (including the Spoleto Festival), and thousands of sessions, and that same spark is still there every time I pick up my camera. Becoming a mother of two deepened that passion in ways I never expected — suddenly I understood on a visceral level why these moments matter so much.
My Approach
I believe in an unhurried process. My sessions follow baby's lead — we pause for feedings, for cuddles, for all the beautiful chaos of new parenthood. I'm not just taking pictures; I'm preserving the way your baby's tiny hand wraps around your finger, the way those squishy cheeks look in the golden light, the deep soulful eyes that already hold so much wonder. These fleeting moments deserve to be remembered.
When I'm Not Behind the Camera
When I'm not behind the camera, you'll find me with a Starbucks in hand, wandering the aisles of Target (my happy place), re-reading Harry Potter for the hundredth time, or cuddling my cats. I'm a Summerville girl through and through, and I love serving families across the Charleston area and the beautiful SC Lowcountry.
